September 23 to 25, 2006 - Darren and I went up to San Francisco for the weekend.  Exhibition, the band Darren plays in, had a couple of performances in San Francisco, and we spent time enjoying the city, SFMOMA, visiting Darren’s friend KJ and participating in the Love Fest (aka Love Parade). 

The Love Fest is a music parade, with different floats playing different types of music.  It’s based on the Love Parade in Berlin, but the one in the US couldn’t get the rights to use that name, so they called it Love Fest. 

People are invited to join in the parade and dance down the street along with the floats or stand on the sidewalk and enjoy each float as it goes by.  The parade ends at Civic Center, where there was a huge music festival.  I shot the video while dancing along with the Tantra float.  Darren’s friend KJ was the DJ on the float.
